Most plate images in the PlateQuest catalog come from official state DMV and DOT websites and publications, and depict state-issued license plate designs for identification in a plate-spotting game. License plate artwork, logos, and marks belong to the issuing states and their respective owners; PlateQuest does not claim ownership of or affiliation with any of them.
A small number of catalog images are photographs by Wikimedia Commons contributors, credited below with thanks. Images were cropped and resized for display in the app.
